    On 29 - 30 August 2012 in Constanta, Romania, the 1st International workshop named "Common Borders, common solutions for enterprise" took place dedicated to the prospects for economic cooperation in the Black Sea region. Its main purpose is to introduce international audience and partners in the current economic situation of the region and the opportunities for cooperation that will contribute to the overall prosperity, stability and security in Europe. The current situation in the South-East of Romania in three priority thematic areas of the project: tourism, ICT and marine industry, and opportunities for partnership in these sectors with other Black Sea regions were presented. Another objective of the International workshop is the information from key players in these priority areas to underpin the analysis of the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) support services. This analysis will serve as a basis for the next major step in the project - the creation of the future Black Sea network of organizations supporting the development of the SME sector in the Black Sea regions of different countries. more

BLASNET 1ST INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP IN CONSTANTA

On 29 - 30 August 2012 in Constanta, Romania, the 1st International workshop named "Common Borders, common solutions for enterprise" took place dedicated to the prospects for economic cooperation in the Black Sea region. Its main purpose is to introduce international audience and partners in the current economic situation of the region and the opportunities for cooperation that will contribute to the overall prosperity, stability and security in Europe. The current situation in the South-East of Romania in three priority thematic areas of the project: tourism, ICT and marine industry, and opportunities for partnership in these sectors with other Black Sea regions were presented. Another objective of the International workshop is the information from key players in these priority areas to underpin the analysis of the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) support services. This analysis will serve as a basis for the next major step in the project - the creation of the future Black Sea network of organizations supporting the development of the SME sector in the Black Sea regions of different countries.

The Workshop was moderated by Mr. Iulian Groposila the project coordinator of the PIMM team, who secured the smooth sequence of the speakers and coordinated the interaction with the audience. The Workshop was divided to 2 sessions. The first session, held on 29.08.12 in the hall of the Parc Mamaia hotel, was devoted to the presentation of the BlasNet project to Romanian community by Dr. Dimitar Radev and the Presentation on “Specific problems, constraints and needs for Entrepeneurship and SMEs in the South – East Region of Romania and Identification of best and desired solutions for the specific problems in the Marine industry and ICT sector”. The key speakers were: Mr. Decebal ȘERBAN- General Director National Company Maritime Ports Administration Constanta; 

Mrs. Andreea Avrigeanu – Crucial Systems and Services, Mr. Ionut LEESCU. 

The second session, held on 30.08.12 in the hall of the IBIS hotel was dedicated on the same topic but for the sector Tourism. The key speakers were: Mrs. Corina MARTIN – President - National Association of Travel Agencies in Romania (ANAT); Mrs.  Raluca POPA – Executive Director Hotel Central, Mamaia Resort; Mr. Catalin Anton - Dobrogea Black Sea Coast Water Basin Administration "Sustainable management of the coastal zone"; Mrs. Crina JURJ - CCMP EUROPROJECT – Project Presentation „Cross Border cooperation Fairs” 

The organizational team succeeded in creating the right mix of presentations, as depicted by the list of key note speakers and the audience and project partners formed a clear view about the problems and future development of the 3 priority sectors in the South-East region of Romania and the need of cooperation of the organizations from the Black Sea region. The discussion that followed revealed the great interest of the partners as well as of local actors for regional development actions in the wider Black Sea area.
